HARVEY WEINSTEIN BIOPIC IN THE MAKING

Well, well, well. If you haven't already had a cheeky peek at this naughty book I recommend you pick it up immediately, particularly if like me you have long been fascinated by the Hollywood allure.

The book is said to be a true story and is basically about two British women's quest to track down Mr. Weinstein, chasing around Los Angeles getting up to all sorts of mischief for what purpose I'm still not entirely sure; this doesn't however make the book any less entertaining, in fact I can say with clarity I don't think I have ever read anything quite like it and over my five decades I've paged through a lot of works, some more literary in nature than others. One thing is for sure the 4th main character in a book, a Mr. Ilia Annossov is very real, a fresco artist living in Los Angeles. So intrigued was I in this story I did a little research on the net and came across his fresco school in Los Angeles and an extremely comprehensive website on this rare art form.

www.truefresco.com, although the authors portrayal of Mr. Annosov, whilst hilarious is not always flattering they make no bones about their commitment to his artistic genius; this the reason and driving force for their peculiar behaviour, in order t secure sponsorship for the art.

Parts of this strange story do push the imagination right to the edge; the very limit in fact. It's definitely under ground and if producers in Hollywood have seen it, namely Harvey I do wonder if he secretly loves it or hates it as the authors have exposed the movie business and more directly Miramax films in a way no one has ever dared to before, certainly as far as I'm aware.

The few good men of the movies have been said to rule the world with Harvey Weinstein having more power than God, so I wouldn't be surprised to see this story, buried if it makes it into the main stream, I for one really hope it does. There again knowing Hollywood and Harvey Weinstein's history it is still on the shelves, maybe because it is actually true.

If you don't expect the kind of trashy expose the big publishing houses put out, nor a work that has had the life edited out of it you won't be disappointed.

The writing is extremely raw which makes me believe all the more this did really happen. It is a mavericks dream read. The fact that someone has told this tawdry tale with the kind of humour that cracks you up every time you read it shows talent and deserves to be celebrated big style. In short it's so hot, Hollywood just has to take this one up the arse I think...perhaps why it's still on the shelves Price $10.

SIT BACK AND GO ON A JOURNEY

There are so many good movies. What makes a movie great for me is when I'm in it, the movie, I know the characters, I am the characters. I was Lester Burnham played with complete aplomp, majestic, well worth the Oscar for Best Actor. The script is priceless and Annette Benning, she blew me and a rampant Buddy Kane, a horny realtor played by Peter Gallagher. You got to see this film, beautifully shot, thought provoking, Spacey is never better, hilarious and any divorced guys will know what I'm saying.

Any film lover must see this film, it is a more than one time watch.

FAVORITE HOTEL IN SAN FRANCISCO

As I live in the city I rarely have the need to stay in a hotel and as such I have only stayed here less than a handful of times. This is a five star luxury hotel so you get pretty much what you would expect of such an establishment. The things that really standout for me though and why I recommend this hotel to everyone is their showers.

Strange I know, and I don't know if you get this in all the rooms but many of the showers have a seat in them, which when you get to my time in life is exceedingly welcome.

I cannot think of another hotel anywhere in the world with such a convenience, so much so I have installed a similiar situation in my own shower at home. Wonderful.

Despite undergoing a recent renovation, which can sometimes strip the charm away from an institution like the Clift, I pleased to say this has not been the case. The hotel is located centrally, extremely close to Union Square making it the perfect spot for pre dinner drinks. I do enjoy a Martini in the famed Redwood Room from time to time.

The staff are friendly but the professionalism can come off a little austere. Don't let this put you off enjoying your own special experience at the Clift Hotel.

THIS MOVIE CHANGED MY LIFE

Oh man. I saw this movie a few weeks ago now and I'm still thinking about it. I could write and write but instead just watch it for yourself. Listen to the music, soak up the many messages for life and then do something, anything, do it well, do your best and feel great in this alone.

Amazing. I'm sure I will watch and experience this movie many more times before I die. A work of art in so many ways.
