24 September 2024 Holly HY 102 Product and Brands, Opinions Valda Energy A 100% renewable business I have just received a sales call from Abbey at Valda Energy._Has your heart rate just gone up as you remember fighting with British Gas, arguing with Eon or tearing your hair out when the smaller energy provider you elected to gowith instead goes bust.First if you are not a business customer don’t rush to call Valda to switch as they only deal with small companies not individual households.That said I am sure there are so many small businesses looking for an alternative energy provider.Our business was with British Gas and then Eon before signing up with Valda on a twelve month contract last year and I have to say things although not super cheap have been better than the past and dealing with the people that work there has been a massive improvement.When I signed up initially I couldn’t afford to elect for 100% renewable supply even though I wanted it, the demand was not great enough yet to bring the price down.This year I am delighted to say my sales agent Abbey managed to get me on an all renewable deal, what I wanted and by reducing my standing charge, something she said she was able to do at the moment and get me on a new 12 month contract(flexible and no penalties for leaving the property) I am actually paying less for 100% renewable supply than last year.The experience was quick, smooth, I just had to sign a contract sent immediately by email and we are all good for another 12 months.The things I liked, Abbey wasn’t remotely pushy. She listened. I didn’t feel like she was blinding me with science. And my immediate thought was to get on here and write this to help.Honestly the experience was so different it has shifted my blanket hatred of big energy companies.
