14 October 2024 March Moss 35 City, Services, Food & Drink, Restaurants Volpo Lounge Fosse Park Casual dining independent chain I had to write this snoop, not to be mean but to wake this business up. It used to be so great, the menu was amazing, really varied, something for everyone. My favourite thing was the Mexican Super Bowl, a truly magnificent concoction not available anywhere else, and certainly no restaurant for miles around offering anything similar. I also loved the avocado salsa on toast, but unfortunately the last few times I have been it just hasn’t been the same. It’s been a gradual decline, started with the staff not being so friendly and engaged, then the water station disappeared and ice in drinks felt like it was being rationed. Then the fresh orange juice machine was broken, then things slowly started being not available, the reason was the food order had not turned up or was coming tomorrow. We used to go a lot on a Monday, not super expensive, healthy, friendly, good sized portions and quick. Now the best things on the menu aren’t available at all, they do have other locations, Mercado Lounge in Market Harborough and Bacca Lounge in Rugby but the scaled down menu is the same here too.We used to eat here (in this group) a couple of times a month at least. Not sure I’ll be going again. Volpo lounge in Fosse Park, Leicester, UK isn’t the best layout and a bit dark but the food and the staff in the past made up for that.I really hope the Mexican Super Bowl comes back. When it does, so will we.
