The Labour Party

I am not political in any way and never vote because I have trouble believing anything Civil Servants and Politicians promise they will do. It is very hard to live in a democracy when you see people with strong options being jailed for speaking out. I condone violence and would never want to see rioting or looting regardless of what a political party do. If we want real change, we have to demand change in the way the political system works, then I would potentially vote.

The pitch.

The Labour Party is a democratic, membership organisation. There are various ways you can get involved to campaign with Labour and deliver real change for Britain. The Labour Party delivers for working people. Labour has changed Britain for the better, with achievements that have made a lasting difference to people’s lives across our country.

They were not in power for 14 years until their most recent election, which was mostly caused by the public's overall lack of interest in politics. Like many political parties, they have reversed course on many of the promises they made in their manifesto and are attributing it to the legacy of the opposition in the two months that they have been in office. They claim that the black hole created by the conservatives is greater than they could have ever anticipated, but since all public finances are visible on their own government website, just like those of any other business, they were aware of it.

They have made bad decisions, such as reducing retirees' winter fuel benefits, which will hurt the NHS this winter as a large number of elderly people who are freezing to death will require extra care. This will be far more expensive than simply lowering fuel bills and severely damage the service. In order to accommodate all of the rioters, they have freed inmates from prisons and paid to have them stay in hotels, which will cost millions and leave no space in the overcrowded prisons. This is an inexperienced government that are making the conservatives look like angles.

In my opinion, individuals in government should be upbeat and able to inspire hope in the face of bleak circumstances, as this is what drives economic growth. The conservatives paid people to stay at home for months and faced an epidemic. They may not have done a fantastic job, but there are good reasons why our finances are in disarray, including the fact that they had to deal with an energy crisis. Lets put an end to mutual blaming and cooperate to restore Britain's brilliance and that is my opinion on this matter.
