I probably have 20 or so pairs on the go at any one time. And have never struggled to buy them. As well as plain white, they made them in gorgeous pastel colours, pale pink, pale green, pale blue, pale yellow and every conceivable colour combo with white so perfect for tennis. The very best thing about them is the cushioning around the ankle, an extra thick layer that stops any kind of rub or blister discomfort and also stops them slipping off inside your shoe. Like I say I absolutely love them. However I went to yoga the other day and noticed my socks were looking a bit grey so I decided it was time for a clear out and 12 new pairs.I spent 5 hours online searching for the said socks only to find this gem of a product has been replaced by much thinner, no cushioning around the ankles choices, there are a lot on the Calvin Klein website to be fair but they are all the same, just with a thin white band around the top I know are going to end up slipping inside my shoes. Why oh why do brands do this, get you hooked on something you then cannot replace. I’d imagine my amazing socks are more expensive to make. I don’t want the brand name, I want the function.I literally found one pack of three pairs online, one black (no good for tennis) one pale grey and one white in America so the £20 shipping costs for three pairs of socks (one I couldn’t really use) put them out of reach. In the end absolutely frustrated I ended up buying two pairs of pastel coloured socks from APC for Lacoste, I like Lacoste except these socks are not low cut, so I’ll probably not wear them as much and three pairs of French Connection low cut socks in white which were a random find because when I went to the French Connection website they don’t have any low cut cushioned ankle socks either. They have opted for white with dodgy 1970’s muddy coloured stripes in orange and brown or cobalt and peach yuk which would be impossible to style. If anyone knows where I can buy low cut cushioned around the ankle socks please pop a comment or if Calvin Klein sock people designers read this think about bringing these amazing socks back. They may cost a little bit more to make but at this point I’d pay over the odds for them.Nothing more frustrating when you are love something and are completely brand loyal and then they take it away.I did find blister resist low cut cushioned socks at Sweaty Betty two pairs for £30but the colour combos are so ugly I don’t know anyone who’d buy them. Please make a plain pair in white or pastel colours Sweaty Betty.
