Not surprisingly I couldn't find a photograph of Sharon or Diane on the internet so I thought the amazing Harvey Edwards image represented them both well.

Both Diane Sugden and Sharon Aitchison Jones were extremely gifted dancers, top students of Cynthia Carr an iconic teacher and examiner in the North of England and have gone on to become excellent teachers in their own right. As a teenager I was taught by both and then my niece was a student so I speak from two generations of personal experience.

They both have a kind yet no nonsense approach necessary to draw the most from any potential they see in a student. They don’t play favourites which is rare in the competitive world of performance art and their classes are always fun but with the goal of achievement and progression kept in focus. Students follow the recognised syllabus from ISTD, the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing which prepares the most gifted and committed students for audition and entrance into any top UK performing arts program.

They are in it for the love not the money which means your son or daughter will get expert attention from two very caring and talented pros and if you get to see them dance, which is a rare treat these days make sure you don’t miss it and take your camera. They are both humble with infectious smiles and an inner sense of grace and fun.

Many dance school are unregulated and if you are not trained yourself you have no idea really want you are paying for and getting for your child and your money. With Miss Diane and Miss Sharon if your child is the next Darcy Bussell they will nurture that talent and take them to where they need to be and if not they will develop the discipline to go on and achieve whilst having great fun. Their fees start from £3.75 per class and I could not recommend any teachers more highly.
