I started going grey very young. About aged 25 or 26 I began colouring my hair so have a great deal of experience in covering up a white stripe parting and have tried everything over the years, no one rocks a zig zag part better than me, to prolong the time between colours which as I have gotten older has become more and more of a challenge, I am never without this product.
You may have seen Jennifer Lopez’s hair stylist promoting Color Wow hair care products, and I agree with celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton this one definitely works.
Don’t be put off by the seemingly high price tag. At €40 - €45 the root cover up powder feels like an expensive make up purchase and it is but it’s going to save you money every week when your colour needs doing but you just want to delay it a few more days.
When I was younger it was always my lip gloss or eyeliner I always touched up, these days it’s my grey parting and grey eyebrows that get the most attention.
When I check my bag these days my hair powder is more important than my face powder that’s for sure.
Where to buy. I sometimes find I can save a few quid picking it me up on EBay or Amazon. But n France you can also find it in selected salons and in London sometimes in Marks and Spencer’s. I go for dark brown in the colour range Brun Fonce, my hairdresser used a combo of 5 and 6 to cover my now 100 % grey hair and this palette compliments a treat. There are 8 different colour choices so make sure you test first to get the best match to your colour.
Absolutely no stripe and you don’t have to do it everyday. The Color wow root cover stays put until you wash your hair.
