Worth £7

If you live in Leicester, you’ll have seen the giant observation wheel in Jubilee Square, near the big Holiday Inn in St Nicholas circle.

My sister just organised this family event and after wards she booked us a ride on the observation wheel.

The reason I am writing this is because she didn’t tell anyone (all women) about the surprise and when she did it didn’t actually go down that well.

What have you booked that for? How much was it? Waste of money? Oh no not for me? It’s too cold, I’ll just watch.

What an adventurous bunch we are………my sister was gutted.

Until everyone realised it was prebooked, pre paid and moaning about it wasn’t getting anyone out of it.

As we queued to board, less than 5 minutes everyone was silent, defeated and my sister wishing she just hadn’t bothered, but what a difference 15 minutes can make.

On the way home everyone was going on and on about how amazing it had been, what a great idea, never would have done that in a million years (no way, you don’t say) it was a unanimous thumbs up.

We booked ahead through trybooking.com.

It cost £7 per person to ride and it lasts about 10 minutes. It was cold up in the gondola so wrap up warm. It was a great end, something different for our family celebration. Equally kids I think would absolutely love it. Tickets for children are £5.
