I am an accountant for a large supermarket chain I won’t mention as I am not a big fan of the food, too over processed in the most part for me so when I am at the office I sneak out every day to Pret to get my lunch I try to stay pretty incognito on here so I can say what I actually think without reprisal or worse still getting fired.
The thing I like the most about this brand, I haven’t put this to the test but the CEO says his office is open, how many CEOs can you call these days and expect them to pick up, certainly not ours.
I like the avocado with tomato and olive tapenade in a baguette but the wraps are tasty too. I usually get a sandwich, a fresh pressed juice or smoothie and a piece of fruit which comes out around £10
They do have a members club type thing where if you buy in they track your purchases and you get quite a big saving but I don’t like to be followed around and understand what those member corporate schemes are all about so I choose to opt out of the programs that give discounts.
All that said I am very impressed with Prets program to train and offer jobs to marginalised people, homeless and ex prisoners offenders to ensure a more positive and productive society and I have to say I don’t think you’ll get friendlier more consistent service from any business anywhere.
The last time I was in there I got my sandwich complimentary because of a small issue the store was having. I honestly haven’t got a bad word to say about this business.👨💼
