As a small business owner I know and understand the joy when a customer chooses you and your products over everyone else and how every customer won is hard fought for. Why if possible I will always choose better quality, artisan product made locally over cheaper and imported. If you are happy to keep things for a while it works out way cheaper in the long run.

Getting my stamp produced was straight forward. All I had to do was upload a graphic of what we wanted on the stamp, the art work.

I also ordered an ink pad. Unfortunately when everything arrived the recommended ink pad wasn’t large enough for my stamp which was a bit of a hassle inking one side of the stamp and then the other and it was harder to get an even stamp especially when doing a lot.

When the pad of ink ran out I went back to English Stamp company as I wanted to keep supporting small. They referred me to Amazon, saying it would be cheaper for me to buy from there instead of direct which was a shock.

My business has since changed location so I don’t need the ink anymore. I did follow the story in the US of workers fight for rights at Amazon and endless tales of less than preferable working conditions for staff. I prefer to shop small and ethical.
