Unexpected amazing stay for the price

I love 5 star and expect 5 star normally but right now I am on a budget and got this trip fairly cheap via destination 2 holidays. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is lovely, clean and well presented. The spa is amazing, very clean, well equipped and run by a great team of therapists. There was no problem getting treatments and the indoor facilities were not too busy The food is really excellent and yummy. The breakfast is amazing, lots of choice. I am a vegan and there were many options to choose from for non meat eaters. The pool is big and clean, well looked after but the sun loungers are uncomfortable to lay on all day, the only downside to my trip.

I would recommend this hotel to all and although it is not South of France 5 star, it is well above average for a much used tourist hotel. The staff are so helpful and all in all it was an amazing stay with no complaints. It is very close to the marina, so you can walk almost anywhere without the use of a taxi service. The shopping in vilamoura is poor in my opinion but there are many choices for food and drink. Lively night time scene in the marina after about 8pm so it gets packed and difficult to get a table for dinner unless you pre-book.
