Laurents Deli

Fresh food in St John’s Wood London

Laurents Deli

Motivated to write this as I am a genuine loyal customer. Firstly the coffee is absolutely delicious and even though a little more expensive than the other neighbourhood offerings worth the extra for me.

I have never met Xavier or his wife Corinne and the staff whilst friendly it’s not the type of place where people hang around to gossip which I like. Everything is professional and the queue moves quick.

The things I like the best are the homemade artisan gelato, the chocolate is out of this world and the homemade deli salad selection is my favourite in London ever since Mount St Deli in Mayfair shut.

If you like going there you’ll like Laurents, not as snooty for sure but the food is comparable, totally delicious and always fresh.

For the chefs this is a shop to browse and absorb. I don’t always buy everything I like the look of, usually too much to take in but the selection of plant based cakes, I am not a vegan but try to eat veggie where possible, the chocolate banana loaf and the vegan coffee cake I don’t think you’ll find better.

I bought a punnet of strawberries the other day that looked absolutely delicious. I didn’t check the price and was too embarrassed to put them back when she said that’ll be £8 please.

FYI if you have to buy an Evian it’ll set you back £4 if you sit down to enjoy it.
