For me it is the best sit down casual eatery for a homemade lunch brunch with a cocktail or not, in Market Harborough where it has to be said the food offerings are very limited if you don’t want a large chain restaurant, greasy spoon or AA rated 3 star town centre hotel, think prawn cocktail, fruit juice or grapefruit segments to start, dark ages menus almost. At Louisa’s you get much more of a modern stylish decor, comfy reclaimed 60’s furniture, pop art and neon signs, warm welcoming staff and good music. They do a signature pressed juice pear, pineapple and something else in the summer I always have (not cheap but delicious) and the tasty homemade soups, something not available anywhere else in Market Harborough will keep you coming back in the winter. The menu is small but the portions are generous and the produce fresh. They also collaborate with a plant based conscious kitchen Farrinheight Foods to offer vegan nights £15 for two courses and £18.50For three course.I’ve been once but for me the main courses weren’t tasty enough to bring me backFor seconds. I will say they did produce the lightest and tastiest raspberry chocolate cake that you wouldn’t know was plant only. It’s the kind of place you feel very welcome from the minute to step through the door to the minute you leave. Genuine good vibes at Louisa’s and I’ve been a lot. Always consistent for me.
