A PARISIAN INSTITUTION

The waiters are rude, you won't get change from 100 euros and the food is just edible, doesn't sound much of a review I know.

Yes, of course there are much better places to eat in Paris but few offer what Lipp does. It's difficult to describe why people return and it is impossible to get a table downstairs (don't sit upstairs) but I love it on a Monday or Tuesday. I can confirm that the menu has not changed over the last half century, same goes for some of the staff. It's just the place we all love to hate. It must be the people watching!!!!
