Corona Cero Zero Alcohol In a Can Get The Barbecue Fired Up

My new favourite sober tipple

I’ve heard people say when you give up drinking you can’t (shouldn’t) have zero alcohol drinks. Something to do with breaking the habit. I didn’t find that. I decided to give up when I gave up smoking. I didn’t know if it would be forever. I wanted to feel healthier. Suzy didn’t like me smoking. Ever. She couldn’t stop worrying about me. I suppose I started worrying about myself instead. I didn’t do it for her. An important distinction. I did it for myself. It wasn’t easy but two years later I drink zero alcohol beer and don’t even think about it.

I started on Becks Blue and sometimes had a Heineken O.O I like both and honestly you can’t tell the difference in the taste. Even my friends have said the same when they’ve picked up a zero alcohol beer out of the cooler at parties by mistake.

Stella Artois have done a great one I buy. Love a pint of Stella. But my new favourite of all is Corona Zero now in a can.

I couldn’t believe it when I saw these little beauties next to the sandwiches in the meal deal for £1.95 a piece.

I’d normally have a coke or red bull with my sandwich and crisps, this time we had Corona zero icy cold in a can, drank them in the park, felt like we’d had a bit of a party and then went back to work, completely sober.

It was a more expensive way to enjoy a cold one, when you can get four bottle for under £5 but it made a weekday lunch time supermarket lunch I have to say a little bit special.

Love these little beauties. For anyone looking to consume less alcohol they are a great choice, you feel like you are having a pint but not. For me that’s a win win.

Changing your habits for your health isn’t easy but it is a very empowering achievement something you won’t understand until you have done it for yourself. It is a mindset. Deciding is the start but old habits do die hard. Having something available that tastes really good like Corona Zero I find makes it easier in the beginning. Now I choose zero alcohol automatically and have no good reason to change back.
