A few years back I had a foundation from Laura Mercier, a present from Liberty and I absolutely loved it. I’d never heard of the brand until then.

The gift set I purchased had aromatic bath and body oil and the matching Neroli Du Sud Eau de parfum. The oil is about £80 and the perfume about £70 so when I saw the set it felt like a really grand deal.

Perfume is subjective and although I didn’t like it so much once it settled, it is light, and citrusy and I am sure lots of people would love it.

The problem for me was in an hour or so I could literally smell nothing. Usually layering oil and then fragrance would give me 24 hours.

For the price it just didn’t hold for me.
