No 1 Waitrose “Nduja” Tomato Sauce

For me. Yuk

This is where reviews on a product tell you absolutely nothing about the experience. One person says fabulous, another says disgusting. So who do you believe.

I picked up a packet of this sauce two nights ago, mushrooms and some whole wheat spaghetti for a quick tea.

It sounded great, 13% extra virgin olive oil, Parmesan and pecorino, pine nuts, pesto, £3.65 for fresh homemade spaghetti sauce I was looking forward to trying.

Think about the time someone put too much hot sauce, Tabasco say all over your food for a joke and then you unknowingly take a big bite.

It tasted of absolutely nothing except hot sauce, and who likes hot sauce with spaghetti.

The olive oil was present for sure as I could see the emulsion on the plate but I could detect none of the subtle flavour. I couldn’t taste anything except greasy hot sauce.

Personally I cannot believe this recipe made it past any taste test. Even if you like spicy and I actually do I couldn’t serve it to anyone. Definitely not.
