Who was it who said a habit is either the best of servants or the worst of masters. Well...........I've broken my Cosmo habit after ranting about the air brushing and transferred my addiction to Stylist, a weekly I pick up for free at the gym.

I would pay if I had to, they distribute a whole bunch of them around the country but you can buy the mag at newsstand for a quid a week which is well worth it I think.

The publisher has foregone the glossy flashy feel of higher priced competitors but no compromise on the content. I really like the hard hitting no messing style that doesn't pander or treat us girls like the weaker sex, far from it.

The journalists post pictures of their less than glamourous, real woman sized selves with articles, not airbrushed at all and let their pieces stand on whats on the page not how pretty the writer is.

The content is meaty, funny in places, brutal sometimes and varied, I always turn to The Style List first, a collection of the latest and greatest available from a whole load of lesser known sources.

Great magazine that spotted a niche, what us real gals are looking for from their fashion and lifestyle editors and jumped square into those shoes. And they fit so well.
