The Nevill Arms Has A Wonderful Maitre D'

A old pub and rooms has recently been refurbished

I’ve been three or four times since the refurb and the best experience to date we had Sunday lunch outside and the food was really good, I’d say gastro pub experience. We were served by Sam if I remember correctly and he was super professional and well informed about the food. The outdoor area is a courtyard style with olive trees and a big wooden bar. Would be a fantastic setting for a party or event.

The indoor experiences have been varied, and the food also a little bit hit and miss. We had to send chips back to the kitchen that we thought were oven chips, may not have been the case but they tasted like McCann and not that oven chips taste bad, we were just hoping for fat, fluffy and freshly made. Not sure they have got the floor plan layout right yet, you can feel a bit on top of other dinners if you are having a private conversation (or a row) it might be a bit close.

The Nevill Arms is owned by two local guys Raj Uppal and Dylan Bogg who have done a magnificent job of breathing new

Life into a stunning old coaching inn with rooms.

It is situated in a picturesque village of Medbourne outside Market Harborough, a stream meanders outside and it’s a massive upgrade to how it was just a couple of years ago when the cafe outside was more like a church tea room than a happening local lunch spot.

I will definitely return, lots to like about the Nevill Arms. I haven’t spent the night yet but the pictures look very inviting.

The prices for lunch are OK. About £20 a head I’d say for two courses plus drinks. When it all comes together, the welcome, the service and the food, it’s one of the best places to eat in the area.
