Alo Yoga Airlift Leggings in 18 colours are incredible

Can I start by saying I have never paid £128 for a pair of yoga leggings in my life. The first pair of Alo leggings I bought I found in TK maxx about five years ago and I paid about £30 for them if I remember correctly. £29.99, maybe £34.99 at a push, definitely no more. I really liked them, I bought a size small, I am about a size 10 and even though they were snug I loved the fit and the quality. However I am 5' 6" and in the end the legs were far too long for me, they wrinkled on the leg in the middle at the back of the knee so even though i really really liked them i ended up giving them away to a mate with much longer legs. She's 5' 10" and got loads of wear out of them.

A month or so ago another friend of mine who loves black, passed on these pale blue Alo leggings to me, Alo Airlift leggings in 7/8 so supposed to be a cropped fit. They actually come down to my ankles pretty much. She bought them in a moment of madness for summer thinking she'd wear them but found herself always reaching for a black favourites. She said she'd never wear them and I was the lucky recipient.

And I have fallen in love. At first I thought the Alo Airlift leggings were going to be too sculpting and suck you in uncomfortable for me, not what I was used to such a compact fit but no, I love them. The waist band is high so you get no muffin top and the absolute best thing of all is the miracle fabric. The other day I split a whole tub of chocolate ice cream down them after my work out and before meeting my friends with nothing to change into and no where to try and clean the mess.

With a bottle of water and a sponge I have for cleaning my windscreen in the car I was able to get the pale blue leggings almost back to new, it was like a miracle, all the chocolate stains just vanished. I couldn't believe it.

I've worn the leggings for a run, I done yoga in them, I've played tennis in them and even worn them at the weekend for lounging.

I've read a lot of reviews about expensive leggings. I was turned off Lululemon for the same reason as the Alo full length one's too long for me, I don't know if the they do a 7/8 but loads of women said in the first place they were only good for "very leggy" women, which is not me. And then in 2024 I read a load of press in cluding a big article in Business of Fashion BOF a media publication I really like and subscribe to about a former Lululemon employee whistle blowing about Performative DEI Practices, basically racism which completely put me off the brand.

Alo Yoga on the other hand seems to be on the rise in terms of profile and popularity. Like I said at the top of my snoop I have never paid over £100 for a pair of leggings until NOW. I've just been into the shop on regent st and dropped £128 for the navy version of Alo airlift leggings i love them so much I had to have another pair for the winter.
