Charles Arthur

I am writing this rant after just enthusiastically making an excited call to tell Charles Arthur, someone I admired and followed often because of his interesting cutting edge and humorous writing style, all about our technology/social experiment. Do people care enough to participate altruistically, clearly they do. This new site Poopsnoop was set up by a social entrepreneur with no money and just a desire for big change in the way big business monopolizes our thinking and our money. The site is all about ranting or raving about products, services and people in powerful positions, as often the little man has no voice and they are the ones that get ignored and trampled on. I dialled his number feeling positive and excited about telling him about our growing community and was shocked when he indignantly questioned my daring to even call him. He told me calls like mine were interesting in 1996 and ceased to be so in 1997. I am sitting here now feeling very pissed off that someone who I have supported over the years could be so closed off and small minded when they work for a paper that is supposed to represent the views of the people.

The last time I spoke to someone so rude and out of touch with humanity, Charles Arthur was probably still in nappies.
