Googling a hair stylist, especially when you are as particular as my friend and I can be very risky. The art of hair is exactly that an art and when you are loyal to a particular stylist it’s usually for a reason.
What to do when soaking up the sun, daily swimming, spa treatments, you look like a scarecrow, you need to find a Julia and her team , Nadia and Angela.
We called up from a Google search and first off the lady who answered the phone spoke perfect English and was able to accommodate us both at the time we wanted. Fantastic. The price quoted for long hair blow outs between €35 and €50 euros.
We arrived a little early and immediately we were greeted with warmth and put at ease at the ladies went to work doing their thing for particular customers, we’d brought our own shampoo and products, not necessary but not a problem.
Julia connected with my friend immediately over extensions, humorous stories of having 100 applied and then wanting 120, 150, I am sure girls who wear extensions can relate. The atmosphere in the salon was really positive and happy something we appreciated.
The best thing about Julia and her team was they worked around our requests, happy customers was their number one focus. Julia the salon owner has 16 years experience doing hair and she told me she has customers from Manchester, Liverpool calling her to book in before their holiday and has had many many wedding recommendations friends of previous clients, usually a good sign.
The hair washing was thorough and relaxing in equal measure with a welcome cool rinse. The salon was air conditioned to combat the heat and humidity outside. It was very comfortable.
My hair is difficult to handle and Julia was happy to tackle the hard work of drying my hair from wet, (most hairdressers like to waft it off before starting to make it easier but my hair won’t survive if you do that, it goes curly immediately) she worked hard to stretch and really work the hair for a 7 day result, her words not mine.
All the while Angela took care of my friend’s full head of extensions saying she really enjoyed working with long extensions and getting an amazing finished result.
Too very particular hair clients who couldn’t be happier.
If you are staying on the island of Santorini and need a hair dresser definitely give Julia a call. A great business, a great confident businesswoman who puts her customer first and wants to make sure her clients are happy first and fore most.
The Hair Salon By Julia Art is modern, clean and totally professional, located in the centre of Kamari Beach and is open from 10am - 2pm and then from 4pm-8pm.
She offers full hair services, cuts, colours, balayage, extensions for men and women. Finding Julia and her team for two people in need of a hair rescue was amazing. I am confident anyone would have a great experience and I can see why people return to Julia and recommend their friends.
