Sometimes things just aren’t meant to be.

I’ve physically been into three different stores, Chelsea, South Molten Street and then finally came across a store in an outlet mall in Oxfordshire.

So I’ve seen this somewhat new jewellery brand advertised in a glossy here and there so when the time came for me to buy a pair of small practical stud earrings I decided to buy them from here. I browsed online but I like the in store experience so when I was on South Molton St, London recently, a Monday lunchtime I decided to go in to get them. The shop was surprisingly busy with people returning, and even though there were three assistants I couldn’t get served so I left. I tried again in Chelsea a few days later.

I decided to pop into the Sloane St store to buy the earrings but no luck. The assistant was quite pushy like she hadn’t made a sale all day and it put me off.

I didn’t think about the earring again until I was in Bicester village this last weekend saw the store and said to my friend I wanted to buy the earrings I had seen. Once again the shop was quite busy, a greeter, two assistants serving customers and one lady behind the till also serving. I quickly looked at all the cabinets to see if I could locate what I needed, I couldn’t, so in a small shop it was clear I needed help.

The greeter recognised this and told me someone would be with me. I waited patiently while the two occupied assistants gave 5 star service to two browsers who when they didn’t purchase got frustrated and completely missed me. One started cleaning and the other went in the back.

I do love the Monica Vinader range and maybe I’ll have another go when I am passing but ended up buying my earrings from Daniella Draper this time in the end. I really loved the shopping experience as well as the product.
