My local Anine Bing store is 8211 Melrose Ave, LA and there’s also a store in Pacific Palisades, CA I usually cannot resist popping in when I am passing or visiting my dentist.
The clothes are very simple, classic basics, in neutrals, black, nude, grey, white, off white and nothing too over branded which I like. I guess you’d say typical LA beach lifestyle basics, with focus on comfortable wearable sustainable pieces, a sensibility that appeals to me.
I was in London recently and got to visit the Anine Bing store on Avery Row, W1 London and although it is very small by comparison to Los Angeles I felt very welcome. No pushy sales people and I got to enjoy browsing.
The sizing tends to be true to size. I am a US 6 and I buy small which is pretty standard.
I purchased the intarsia beach cover pictured and have been very happy with it, especially because it is made from a lovely soft cheesecloth material which makes it extra absorbent, like a cross between a wrap and a towel for my ocean dips.
I also bought a vintage black Anine Bing baseball cap which is one of the best fitting and flattering caps I own so all in all a very loyal customer. Lovely shops, lovely brand. The last time I shopped I got 7 things in the checkout and had to reduce it to 3 as I was way over my budget.
To give you an idea on prices, I paid $150 for the beach cover and about $50 for the baseball cap.
