I have a soft spot for the Bluebird.
My parents used to take me when I was a kid and you can walk from my house on Smith St so whenever we had friends stay over the weekend brunch at the bluebird is a bit of a tradition.
The Bluebird is as much part of the Chelsea scene as the art studios, the firestation or the town hall.
Casual and relaxed on the patio in the mornings, lively and fun, live music in the evenings. Very very mixed crowd. Old and young. Shishi and bad hair and baseball caps.
You get every type of person which is why I like it.
The food is simple, good, healthy, big portions and for Chelsea not super expensive. Another reason to go.
Not snobby. Just cool - that’s the Bluebird. It’s got character, been around a long time and knows who she/he/they is.
