Well, well well here’s a story and a half. I’ve just been into curries PC world to buy a new TV. I don’t know much about TVs or TV technology so I was hoping to get help from the sales person. She asked me about the size I needed and once we established that, Took me to the section where all the TVs that size were on display. The first TV she showed me, she told me they had a lot in stock and it was a very good deal because it had £150 off but when I started asking questions about what I needed and information about the TV she didn’t engage with me and she didn’t answer my questions. She was just focused on selling me this one particular TV so much so that it kind of put me off and I started looking at other options and trying to work out if a less expensive TV was better for me I noticed one TV that had a £200 saving on it instead of £150 and suggested that that was a better deal than the TV. The assistant was suggesting and then what happened you’re just not gonna believe it. The sales assistant told me basically to ignore the increased discount because the store Curry’s, inflate the prices to make the customer believe that it’s a better deal than it actually is I know I couldn’t believe it either we ended up just going for the deal. We thought was the best. We needed a new TV and Currys did get the Business. The gentleman in the business hub who checked us out, (I am a business customer) I repeated the story to and he was completely shocked and said that that should never have been relayed to us in that way. The most incredible and interesting part for me was she said it like it was completely normal known fact, she even said everybody does it, food stores clothing stores everybody.
