Daisy Fox Flowers Market Harborough

Daisy Fox Flowers Market Harborough

If you don’t like garage or supermarket flowers and want to choose from a variety of hand selected stems and are happy to pay a little more for the privilege and convenience of a lovely town centre shop then look no further than Daisy Fox Flowers, a gorgeous specialty flower shop in the picturesque market town of market harborough. Can you believe it’s our only florist? Not taking anything away from the equally gorgeous house plant store opposite at no 10 abbey st, in the former fire station, windowsill plants run by local lass Susie Lickman. The women of Market Harborough are doing everything possible to help each other. You’ll find window sill plants also for sale in Two Old Goats cafe where you find the Lemonaid. I digress.

Dean at Lascelles on Church St I used to buy my flowers from every week, I was very sad when he closed his beautiful lifestyle shop, my father and him shared a love of old cars, these days I am more likely to see him in the pub so very happy we’ve got this gorgeous new florist in town.

She’s had a tough time, recently opened in the last 12 months she’s had her window smashed twice which I was horrified to notice and inspired to write something to help Daisy share her passion and love of exquisite beautiful blooms.

flowers are a luxury and they are an expensive treat when times are tough. I always remember something my Nan used to say, “if you’ve got three loaves, sell a loaf and buy a lily” it’s taken a while for me to get it.

I don’t have a garden where I live so I rely on the meadows around and my once every two weeks now “lily” purchase for my flower lift pick me up.

Delighted to also see a lovely collaboration partnership between our gorgeous farm shop shop Farndon Fields and Daisy Fox Flowers where you can find a better than the garage or supermarket pre made up bouquets and arrangements if you don’t fancy picking your own.

It’s a tough time for traders at the moment. I personally love to have independent shops in town, it’s what keeps the place interesting and vibrant and attracts visitors not just from further a field but locally too, Leicester, Corby, Kettering, Northampton, all places we have seen rapid decline in city centre footfall and visitor numbers due to rising crime and closed down bankrupt businesses.

More important than ever to support the businesses we love if we want them to but only survive but thrive too.

Thank you Daisy Fox you have great style and taste when it comes to your flower selection.
