Don’t wear your Anine Bing Baseball cap to the beach

Less than a year old and the colour is already gone

I bought two Anine Bing baseball caps pretty much at the same time, maybe one month apart. Yep they were both black when purchased. I am a little bit pissed although I do love the LA based athleisure brand that combines relaxed California lifestyle with Scandinavian quality and Nordic simplicity.

I’ve bought four of her hats, including the Anine Bing Nicks bucket hat at $80 now completely sold out everywhere and have honestly been really happy with the fit and comfort and quality in the most part, except for the one that’s bleached out obviously, of course the one that’s looking pretty trashed happens to be my favourite. So I’ve actually worn them both about the same. The difference is when I wear them, the one that’s bleached out I wear to play volleyball. The baseball caps are great, a luxury though at 60 bucks. Expensive for a baseball cap.

My one issue, the cap I play volleyball in at the beach, has completely lost it’s colour now brown it began life as black, the same as my other one. The bummer, I prefer the simpler logo of the cap that is now completely bleached out. That’s just a personal preference.

Don’t get me wrong I still like and wear the cap on the left, just a bit disappointed for $60 for a brand born in the sunshine state the fabric dyes used aren’t a little bit better. I’ve never got it wet so not sure why it’s happened except worn it at the beach in the sunshine.

When I look inside it’s still completely black.

The hats are made in Turkey, where the quality does tend to be better and fashion labour exploitation not China something I like although for reference made in the USA I’d like even better.

All in all very happy with the comfort and fit and definitely enjoy shopping the Anine Bing flagship store close to my neighbourhood on Melrose.

The sweatshirts are super comfy too.
