Don’t shoot the messenger. The new summery wrap from Marks and Spencer is not vegan, containing whipped feta but it does check the vegetarian box for anyone trying to eat less meat and no mayo if avoiding mayonnaise, so great if no eggs is your thing.
A friend of mine told me it was the best thing about her day as she struggled fighting traffic on a blocked M25 this week, battling boiling temperatures 26 degrees rising to almost 30 degrees, 8 hours sitting in traffic for a there and back journey that should have taken four she said the best thing about her day was the new falafel wrap from Marks and Spencer she picked up in a service station on the M1 motorway.
Her review of the new sandwich was so positive in the middle of clearly what was a very challenging day I went in search to try it for myself.
It’s really tasty even if you are not the biggest fan of falafel which I am not. You tend to get more crunchy cucumber and creamy whipped feta, sweet pickled crisp vegetables and spinach leaves all coming together in a summery taste sensation than the dry tasteless balls of not sure what I associate with Falafel. It’s a really great sandwich. Cost £4.25 which I don’t think is too bad and if you combine it in the meal deal at Ocado you get a drink and snack too for £5.00 which is an even better deal.
Thumbs up from me for the new sandwich. Even though it’s not totally plant based it’s a great option for anyone trying to opt for a more healthy lunch on the go option.
Very tasty. Let’s hope it sells and Marks and Spencer’s don’t discontinue it before I get a chance to buy another one.
