I heard George Hamilton say he had been told by four doctors to stay out of the sun and they were all dead.
Not that I am recommending excessive sunbathing but I am with George Hamilton, the therapeutic benefits and life affirming positives that come from feeling a little sun kissed at any age are undeniable.
So I partake sparingly and use a cocktail of factor 50 days 1 and 2 and then follow with spf 30 for the remaining vacation days.
This time I tried Lancaster Sun Beauty, Nude skin sensation, protective water purchased at the airport in duty free.
I loved it.
It doesn’t have any odour particularly. Not the distinctive smell you get from
Some products like Nivea, Ambre solaire, Hawaiian Tropic. I used to love an old brand Bergasol which I haven’t seen for decades but they did have a similar very light oil.
The Lancaster protective water is a lovely texture, no real rubbing in needed, no residue and no burning, or even tingle after 3-4 hours exposure.
If you want to develop a nice, not super deep, tan, slowly this is a good choice.
It can be applied to wet skin and does absorb nicely without being oily or leaving the skin feeling dry. It does say it is water proof. I did reapply after swimming.
I’ll be buying again definitely. No reason to try something else. Did the job for me. Price was about £24 which I didn’t think was too bad. When I tried to buy a new one I found it at Debenhams for £27, everywhere else was £31.
