A friend of mine is married to an Australian so she has introduced me to a couple of brands I wouldn’t ordinarily have come across, a shoe brand, whose name escapes me atm, not helpful I know and Lee Mathews who are a find if like an Australian Jospeh only the designs are a bit more whacky and the prices around the same, I always wait for the sale.
Lee Mathews cut her teeth at Vogue Australia before starting the brand. This is the third piece I have bought and it cost me about £150 in the sale. That was 50% or 60% off. For a shirt this may sound like a lot but when you feel the quality of the fabric, it’s the level of high high high couture which makes it really good value for me.
The beauty of cotton like this, it lasts and lasts and it’s easy to get it crisp white again without it looking old and worn out.
Some of the designs do look a bit old lady and I am an old lady but if you can get past that I can guarantee when your order turns up you won’t have that, “it didn’t look like this in the picture” experience.
The shoe brand is A Emery @a.emery_ on Instagram and they make some minimalist (but super quality) shoes and sandals I really like.
