Going to Ozzie Rizzo, even if only once is certainly an experience. There’s British hairdressing history here, you can definitely imagine Vidal Sassoon, Trevor Sorbie and Christopher Brooker all hanging out discussing the latest blow out technique.
I am got a £100 voucher as a present. It bought me a blow dry and I had to add a bit extra for the tip.
The experience was good. Very very professional, not personal or holiday chit chat, all about the hair which I liked. For some it might feel a bit stand off ish.
The salon is split in two halves, the downstairs a bustling hub of independents renting chairs and there is a busy stream of lots of different types of customers heading downstairs. This is somewhere completely international where lots of different languages are spoken and lots of different looks walk out from bright blue K pop styles to slick Parisian bobs. There are also beauty treatment rooms downstairs for the full salon experience.
The upstairs is light airy and bright, very spacious and the clients upstairs in my visit were older and seemed definitely used to first class service. I enjoyed a little bit of eavesdropping about planned dinner parties to host and chefs to hire.
At Ozzie Rizzo nothing is too much trouble, they’ll provide anything you want, even lunch can be brought in (for a price)
My appointment lasted about 45 minutes and my hair, felt nice afterwards.
Would I go back? Um if I needed a quick juzz and I was in the area, sure.
