Ramada Encore By Wyndham Hotel Leicester

A good option for a speaking event or meeting

Ramada Encore By Wyndham Hotel Leicester

There aren’t many hotels in the City Centre of Leicester for a start. You’ve got the Grand Hotel, I’ve not been inside for years, The Belmont, which is a 3 star independent property closer to Newalk and the university and this one, the Ramada Encore which is your typical city centre business offering, better than a Travelodge or Holiday Inn express but still the kind of business hotel where if the room costs more than £100 you feel like you’ve been ripped off.

I just checked the room rate and it’s £63 per night (no breakfast) compared to £139 at the Marriott at Fosse Park, Leicester which sounds about right.

I was tasked with finding a City Centre space for an education team building event for an audience of about 50.

We hired a meeting room from 5.30pm to 7.30pm tea and coffee and water was provided and it cost about £300 which was the cheapest option for what we needed.

The event coordinator, was helpful and very easy to deal with. And our event went off without a hitch.

They do have quite a nice bar area where everyone went afterwards for a drink and a chat. The staff were really helpful and nice.

For what we needed it was a perfect venue and our event went off without issue.
