If all you want to do is find out the name of a plant, something you’ve never seen before. Or recognise but don’t know the name of. Which app is the best for identifying plants?
It happens to me all the time. I am out walking, I see something beautiful, weird, wonderful. In this case it was tiny corkscrew tendrils delicate and perfectly natural springs climbing and clinging. You don’t recognise it and want to identify the plant in question. It happens to me all the time and I’ve downloaded and tried a few plant identifying apps. Picture this, Plant net: which asks you to pay constantly and cleverly hides the cancel button and Ai plant; non of which have got me hooked, well I don’t have the need all the time to make it worth subscribing.
Then someone pointed me to the leaf icon right there in my photos on my iPhone. Who knew, you just snap the image, tap the leaf under any picture of a plant and lo and behold all the information you need about said plant and other images of it as well to boot.
Makes me wonder what else my phone can do for FREE no hassle I just have absolutely no idea about.
This gorgeous climbing wild flower is called Bryony or White Bryony. Other names are Cretan Bryony.
I do get more info on Picture this like also
known as: Red bryony, English mandrake, Ladies' seal, Red-berried bryony, Red-berry bryony, Common bryony... but the feature in photos on iPhone is amazing, simple, easy, right there when you take the picture and totally FREE.
