Did you know World Toilet Day is the 19th November. No word of a lie. It’s actually a United Nations initiative to ensure more people have access to improved sanitation for the many millions who do not have clean safe toilets.
Finding a public bathroom can be a nightmare when you are out and about. This one in Highgate is lovely one, surrounded by lavender which certainly counteracts any of the very familiar public toilet smell. The sense you have your head stuck down the urinal before you even enter the building.
I have thoughts of holding my breath, not allowing my skin to touch anything and izod sandpaper toilet roll.
This public loo is nothing like that. Clean, fresh smelling and best of all FREE to spend a penny.
Students at the Royal College of Art have put together a resource mapping all the public loos across the UK so I have put the link at the bottom. Anyone who wants to know more about the UN initiatives to improve world health and dignity through better sanitation facilities. https://www.worldtoilet.org
