Great movie staring Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen.

I loved this movie which kept me gripped to my chair the whole way through with an unexpected twist at the end. Helen Mirren who brilliantly plays sweet naïve widow, Betty McLeish, sets out online, to find love or is she looking for something else maybe?

Complete con artist Roy Courtney, Ian McKellen has his sights set on his most recent target, the millionaire Betty McLeish, who was just widowed. However, this time, what started out as a straightforward scam turns into a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. 2009 London. Roy Courtney and Betty McLeish, who are both elderly, widowed, and consequently lonely, meet on an online dating site and begin dating.

Despite their shared past of spreading false information, they are able to move past the small white lies they eventually discover about each other because they understand that these are just part of the process. However, Betty is unaware that Roy is a high stakes con artist who, according to his regular accomplice Vincent, does it as much for the thrill as for the money, even though she cherishes Roy as the friend she so urgently needs. He also has no problem utilising force to stay undercover, even if it means killing someone. Although the risks associated with his plan, eventually turn out to be become his downfall, Betty has a revenge mission hidden up her sleeve to become the ultimate con artist of the pair.

Fabulous cast including the legendary Ian McKellen and a film I highly recommend you watch.
