The son of a gold medal-winning Olympian and a lady of such esteemed lineage, he surely knew how to live the high life.

Aberdare, nestled in the heart of the Welsh valleys, must have been a picturesque backdrop for his youthful escapades, offering a stark contrast to the glitzy international jet-setting he would later become known for. With a lineage that boasted both athletic prowess and noble connections, Dai Llewellyn had the perfect blend of charm and charisma to navigate the glamorous world of the British aristocracy with ease.

As a dear friend of mine, he shared countless stories of his adventures and encounters with the rich and famous. His closeness to his brother Roddy, the enigmatic gardening companion of the ever-eccentric and enchanting Princess Margaret, adds an extra sprinkle of fairy dust to his life story. The fact that he was taken from us all too soon is indeed a great loss. His spirit, much like the vibrant shades of a summer's sunset, lingers in the hearts and memories of those fortunate enough to have known him.
