21 September 2016 Elizabeth Black 12410 Brands, Clothes Under Armour I am completely horrified and mortified that one of my favourite exercise brands is pro big game hunting, killing large endangered wildlife like bears, elephants, for sport. In response I have had a cull of my own, a complete clear out of all Under Armour clothes and shoes I have in my wardrobe. Unfortunately as I have no interest in this brand anymore I am putting the goods in the bin instead of donating to charity as the logo is immediately recognisable and for many, me included, is aspirational.I feel completely duped. I have no problem with anyone supporting anything they like, everyone is entitled to an opinion but nowhere in their marketing and promotion can I find anything about this. I discovered from an article in the press 19th August this year, they sacked brand ambassador, the wife of hunter Josh Browmar following a public outcry after 3 months earlier hailing him a hero, double standard? If you check out their Instagram, I used to be a keen follower, nowhere are there pictures of dead animals, quite the contrary, fabulous looking girls and boys enjoying a healthy active lifestyle. They have a staggering 2.6M followers, I wonder how many of their loyal followers and customers actually know what they are supporting.
