Snoop Update 24 hours later
The dialogue in the car yesterday went like this “shall we get more of that ice cream? It’s good for my throat. It’s a long way to go just for ice cream. We’ll get it tomorrow” 10 minutes later. “Let’s go get that ice cream”
New images snapped before the second box was devoured. Better hurry. They only had 4 left in our Waitrose.

I am in two minds writing this snoop. Selfishly I want to ensure the next time I go to Waitrose to buy this absolutely knockout dessert it’s not sold out, which I already fear it will be once people get wind of it and try it for themselves.
If I had floor to ceiling freezer cabinet facilities and could store these I’d be buying in bulk, no doubt about it.
How do I describe them. The new cafe au lait gelato desserts from Crosta Mollica quickly becoming my favourite ready made food company with their pizzas, flatbreads and now their ice cream puddings. They come in packs of two, ice cream bombs dusted in light bitter cocoa each sitting on its own paper fluted doilley a really nice presentation touch I have to add.
But it’s when you sink your spoon into these delectable sweet treats you find yourself taking smaller spoonfuls as you know with each bite you are getting closer and closer to the experience being over, well I did anyway.
We had the cafe flavour and you can definitely taste the coffee not sure what other options there are in the range if any but boy was this one good.
Not cheap at £5.00 for two but when you think you’d happily pay £7.50 for this delivered in a smart restaurant, that good it puts the £2.50 each into perspective.
A massive thumbs up from me. Definitely be having a few of these over the holidays if they don’t sell out immediately that is.
Available in Waitrose and Tesco. Apologies for the limited photographs. I had to pull the box and paper out of the trash to take the photograph. When I buy more which will be soon, I Will add images of the actual gelato, or you can check out the pictures in the link.
