After nearly two years commuting to London and spending many an afternoon enjoying a coffee or 3 in perfectly formed small but vibrant coffee houses, it dawned on me how few truly decent coffee houses there were in South Leicestershire.

I was on the hunt for a coffee house that combined healthy home-cooked food with brilliant freshly ground coffee and ace vibes similar to those I'd enjoyed in Amsterdam, New York or Portland and after spending many a month looking, I decided to leave the world of fashion behind and start my own and combine it with my passion in homewares.

The venue came first, the re-fit came second and the coffee came last but by no means least.
