I have an Amazon account, but you might describe me as anti Amazon, not for any other reason than they have had a lot of bad press and I mean a lot especially around labour exploitation which I cannot stand, something I appreciate which may or may not be true, in full or in part. Can’t trust the media anymore.

The last time I shopped with Amazon I bought a book and the technology had me signed up for Amazon Prime so fast I didn’t realise I’d done it I went to the checkout the free shipping was very attractive but I decided to pay for the shipping for my book instead of electing for a £9 a month subscription. I didn’t know if I would use or not.
Thanks
Fast forward and when we didn’t know what to watch on Saturday night movie night very easily purchased (for the first time ever) an on demand movie from Amazon Prime no subscription required for £16. I don’t know if anyone else provides this service or if I’d looked a little deeper I could’ve found it cheaper. I don’t know and I’d appreciate any comments on competition for Amazon Prime . That said the service they provided was unbelievable quick easy and a lot less hassle than going to the cinema.
I guess sometimes it’s not easy to stick to your principles when you want something and big companies understand that psychology that’s why they’re big .
After such a protracted intentional absence I do feel a little like I gave in for the convenience, a bit like having a cigarette when you’ve supposed to have given up. The pleasure in this case was worth it for me. Have to be careful I don’t get addicted though.
