Beauty Pie Future Matte Lipstick

Lipstick for girls who don’t like to wear lipstick

Beauty Pie Future Matte Lipstick

I only owned this lipstick for a few days and ironically I fell immediately in love and then I lost it.

Even more surprising, I don’t wear lipstick. Very rarely. I have a couple of pencils, lip crayons and glosses but an honest aversion to lipsticks. On my lips they tend to bleed, end up everywhere, don’t stay, yet manage to leave lipstick on everything I touch.

I am a bit of a Tom boy when it comes to puckering my lips around glamourous lipstick.

My best friend has joined Beauty Pie. She tells me she pays a one off fee of £29 each year and then she can buy discounted quality products, they say made in the same labs with the same recipes as much more expensive more recognisable make up and skincare brands but for a cheaper club price for members.

When she first joined she gifted me this Future Matte lipstick in Cowboy Nude. It went in my make up bag in a lovely silver case and for quite a while never came out.

Then I was called last minute to take a meeting my boss planned on taking and in a moment of desperation to improve my appearance short notice I pulled out the lipstick and slapped some on.

Please note I very little prior experience with lipstick except on the stage in amateur dramatic theatre make up context.

The colour suited me for a start. I have dark chestnut hair, brown eyes and freckles. The reason my friend gave it away, she said it didn’t suit her blonde hair and very olive skin.

My notes, it didn’t bleed, I didn’t have to use lip liner. It says matte but doesn’t go on too thick, crack or look fake. It also didn’t come off all over the coffee cup, a little mark, nothing major. It went on easy without a mirror like a balm and I loved the way this particular lipstick improved my appearance.

I used it for all of three days. I was carrying it around with me like a cigarette lighter or your AirPods and then I lost it.

I discovered I can buy a refill on EBay for about a tenner. I did love the handle of the silver case. When I looked to replace it as a non member it’s £26, too high for me.

As a member my friend can buy another one for £16 with she says an additional 10% off added incentive.

Beauty Pie does sound like a great program for women who spend a lot already on luxury lotions and potions.

Aside from the lipstick my friend also passed my way an under eye cream, skin blur too light for her. This was too pink for me, I prefer touché Eclat for this job. I don’t suffer with dark circles so the cover up element I don’t need, the beauty pie under eye concealer was too pink for me.

The Future Matte cowboy Nude is the only lipstick I have ever tried and not only checked my boxes but has converted me to being lost without a lipstick.

Now I know what all those girls were going on about all this time.
