It’s called a Natural finish loose powder and that sums this summer product up for me, ultra lightweight and airy finish. By the way it’s not just a summer product. I just use it more during the summer season when I struggle with make up in the heat.
In the summer I don’t really like to wear foundation but too old now to wear nothing and the name of this powder from Chanel is completely says what it is on the tin. Freedom for everyone is how I translate.
It looks like nothing when on but completely arrests any shine when foundation would either be melting in the heat or your forehead would ordinarily be dripping in sweat.
I have lighter skin and a few broken capillaries probably from a few too many wines in the past not terrible however I do like to dampen down the red even when I am going for a bare summer face and this natural finish loose powder does the job for me.
I don’t need it so much in the winter as a do tend to wear foundation from September onwards but on holiday and throughout the summer a dusting of this after my cleanse, moisturise, conceal and I am ready to go.
It serves three purposes for me keeps the shine completely at bay, invisibly fills a few laughter lines and dampens down the red tone in my skin without actually noticing I am wearing anything.
A feeling I like when it’s hot and sticky outside.
Another plus the pot is massive and even using everyday throughout the summer I’ve had it for a couple of years. It’s marketed as long wearing and I think this is the key for me, it’s actually true, one application in the morning does last all day so worth the £50 investment for me.
The only one negative it’s not cruelty free.
