A notable biscuit

Newsflash: 4th April, 2025. Just found these unbelievable plant based biscuits you have no idea are plant based regular price £11.49 for £1.00. Yes Fortnum and Mason's gorgeous biscuits in luxury tin for only a pound while stocks last.

I don’t like dates for a start.

You don’t taste dates you just find chewy. And the sugary crunch reminds me of a toffee biscuit Selfridges used to make but discontinued a few years ago now.

These are not your run of the mill digestives or Jaffa cakes they are luxury, in a luxury tin with a luxury price tag. £11.49 which is very steep for a packet of biscuits.

You get about 12 biscuits, that’s it, maybe 14 but two are enough at one serving and they are melt in the mouth delicious to be savoured.

They are very gingery, almost too gingery (not stem ginger which I am not mad about) but then not, hard to explain but the clever texture flavour combination is what makes this biscuit notable for me.

I just wish Fortnums would offer refills for the lovely expensive biscuit tins.

They are now completely sold out, no surprise. And now for the absolutely unbelievable piece of information for anyone trying to be healthier in 2025 and consider more plant based options.

These beautiful biscuits are vegan and gluten free.

Don’t buy them for that reason though. If you live for and love buttery sweet treats you’ll have absolutely no idea you’ve given something up.
