If you haven’t heard of LCB Depot, home of the Leicester Comedy Festival, an event which began in 1994 now celebrating it’s 31st year gaining profile for comedy talent from all across the UK and wait for it, most shows are either FREE or “Pay what you want” and the quality is as good some say as the much more famous Edinburgh Festival. All backed and paid for by Leicester City Council.

The event, Jokes on Us, free comedy festival centred at LCB Depot has grown to incorporate 23 venues across Leicestershire and a program of over 40 events between 6th and 22nd February.

If you need a pick me up on a budget (or Free) Still time to enjoy the last of the events scheduled for 2025 including the hilarious Ryan Mold on Saturday 22nd February at Grays Cafe at 2.00pm. The show lasts one hour.

If comedy’s not your thing the LCB Depot is a community hub anyone can use. And you can guarantee you’ll get good vibes and even better service from the staff at Grays Cafe, the internal food and drink offering where the homemade pumpkin and banana cake is good enough to take on any cake from a posher establishment.
