There aren’t that many clean modern stylish places in Leicester serving breakfast and lunch with a varied menu and plant based options. Welcome to Cue in Stoneygate, the sister property to the Northern Cobbler in Queens Road, Leicester.
The menu isn’t massive but it is much more international feeling than you’d usually find in Leicester. The interiors reflect that modern vibe too with long hanging lanterns lighting stark bright white tile and sparkling glass cases housing homemade cakes for days to have with your coffee.
The food is fresh, beautifully presented and you’ll find things like coriander and pomegranate, even vegan feta cheese gracing your plate (ingredients you wouldn’t ordinarily find on an all day breakfast on the Narborough Road) all there to tantalise your taste buds.
I used to be in Cue a couple of time a week after Yoga up the road, The Yogahouse, that was until I decided to go to a different studio, another story for another day. (For me, it was more of a personality clash with the owner. The studio and teachers are actually really amazing.)
Although I haven’t visited for a few months I know Cue caters to special dietary requirements including Halal. I always found the staff, especially the baristas to be a really fun and friendly group, a mixed bunch of people interestingly not all from Leicester.
FYI Cue are currently looking to hire a weekend part time barista. Interested in applying email your CV rinesh@thecue.co.uk.
