My daughter told me to try both

I have a lot of things experience with make up and beauty. I was am in the industry. My problem as I have gotten older is the quality of my skin isn’t good enough for foundation and the finish isn’t smooth. I tend to end up with the foundation congealing in the pores of the skin. Not a good look but too old and vain to go without make up so I’ve been in search of the perfect primer for under a light foundation.

I’ve tried both of these provided by Sophy. First off I don’t like the smell of either when you first apply glad to say by the time I’ve got my scent free foundation over I cannot smell either.

The Glass primer you definitely feel like you have tighter skin. Almost the feeling when you put on a peel off face pack before it cracks. It cost about €20. And I think the foundation looked better. it’s clear in colour.

The Mrs Rodial instant filler says it can be worn with or without makeup and this has more of a putty feeling when applied and it does have a bit of pigment. It sort of glides on so you feel there is something there and the effect is definitely smoothing.

I again put my foundation over and I’d say this was a more flawless appearance, more a finished look for evening.

If you asked me which does more, I’d say the instant filler but at €30 it is a bit more expensive.

If you are over 50 and want a more even skin tone without using Botox or fillers both these two products might work for you.

Aside from the smell which I quickly got over I will definitely use both of these products to solve my problem.
