If you don’t want to constantly reapplying your lipstick try one of these

I don’t wear a lot of make up, a bit of BB cream or light water based foundation no particular brand, I swap around but I do like a lip, and I don’t like to have to reapply over and over again.

I have found a lip pencil worth shouting about. In the picture it’s the pencils behind the larger square lipsticks at the front. More in between a lipstick and a lip pencil. The Nars Powermatt High Intensity Lip Pencil is like a fat lipliner and comes in 10 shades. At 27.50 or on sale at Boots for £22 it’s a cheaper alternative to a branded lipstick.

If you find the shade you like you can even find this chubby lip pencil on secondhand sites like Vinted and EBay and save even more if you are not in a hurry and happy to wait until the right shade comes up.

I didn’t buy initially when I tried it in my hand in store. I got pounced on by an over zealous beauty consultant when I really just wanted to browse on my own until I was ready for help and ended up walking away from the counter. I did get time to try a couple of shades on the back of my hand. And the next day even after washing my hands and do the washing up a couple of times the streak of lipstick was still there. I could actually still see it faintly on day three which is pretty impressive.

It just didn’t budge.

This was a big selling point for me as I rarely have time to blink at work let alone reapply my lipstick throughout the day. I like something with staying power and this Nars product does exactly that.

It comes with a sharpener so very easy to use and keep user ready.

The only downside is Nars is NOT cruelty free which is not great and something I do try and support brands who are.

In this case, unlike my Shein experience when I gave in and shopped fast fashion, the Nars powermatt lip pencil didn’t disappoint.

It’s a great Matt texture long lasting lip colour that doesn’t feel drying on your lips. It’s nice with a bit of lip balm over too but this does affect a staying power a little.

I bought American Woman 112 which is a dark nude pink for daytime and 132 Dragon Girl Red, a bright vivid crimson to mix it up for evening and I am very happy with both colours.

The other good thing to note is even though they make liners to match you don’t actually need one if you keep your pencil sharpened you can use that as your liner as well. Win win.

I live in Leicester so the closest Nars counter for me is in Fosse Park shopping centre in Flannels.

This product can be a little bit confusing as all the packaging looks the same colour, I immediately assumed all the testers were the same one, no so, you have to get into trying each one, when you are shopping you can get a bit muddled which is which.
