Rita Ora X Primark Launches their latest 169 piece collection for Spring 2025

The big question for me do we think Rita Ora actually likes and more importantly wears this collection. Has she been collecting pieces since 2023. Will the collections become as desirable and sort after as say the Kate Moss Topshop Collaboration back in 2007. If Jeremy Irons was right in the Wizard of Lies the only way you win is by being first, will this be a flop?

I want to start by saying I am not down in Rita Ora. I am a fan of her music and her song “anywhere” is one of my top downloads on Spotify. This is more about her collections at Primark, a collaboration that began in the autumn of 2023.

I don’t know if you have any thoughts on celebrities collaborating with High Street fashion, fashion brands like Primark and H&M. I was interested to see that Rita Ora collaborated with Primark in 2023, then again in 2024 and the third multi seasonal 169 piece collection has just dropped for spring 2025.

This rant is not about the clothes, the designs or the quality of the clothes Primark and Rita Ora have produced it’s more about Rita taking the job in the first place for me.

If we go back a few years, 2019 Rita was promoting luxury house Gucci the Aria Collection and then she went on to be the global ambassador for Escada with a massive print and digital campaign. She was a jewellery ambassador for Thomas Sabo and italian label Supergra.

Rita said she spent her teens modelling Primark in the mirror but it seems her love of the brand has waned a little through a rising success story in the music business she has shown us her love of luxury labels.

As a refugee fleeing the war in Kosovo Rita who came to the UK as a young girl suffered racism growing up and felt like an outsider she has been a UNICEF ambassador since 2019.

I am just not sure how credible Rita Ora is leading her impressionable young and old fans to buy fashion she probably doesn't really know where or how it's produced and the impact on the lives of garment workers, a high proportion of which are migrant and refugee workers themselves and a high proportion of which are women.

Very interested to hear other opinions on brands using famous faces to sell us the dream.
