Bougie Glamourous and the best (heated) outdoor dining in London

Scotts

Make a reservation for outside but be warned you might have to call a few months in advance.

From the minute you arrive from the minute you leave the Maitre D’ at Scott’s transports you into another world where art meets food meets glamour. It used to be famous hospitality name Kevin Lansdown, (who joined Caprice Holdings in the 1980’s at age 21) and then Paulo De Tarso. These days it’s the ladies in charge, Danielle Thompson is the current general manager supported Jade De Bosredon as M’aitre D’.

Not surprising it’s a celebrity hang out. Famous folk can be regularly spotted in there. I see Jerry Hall all the time. Comedian John Cleese has his own table and I’ve also seen Jimmy Carr and Michael Barrymore in there.

It’s a scene. The blood orange yogurt mouse is my favourite pudding, it’s what I return for. Ron likes the salted caramel chocolate fondant and I usually try a signature cocktail, delivered as a surprise with aplomb.

The bill, well hold on to your hat. For us special occasions only that’s if you can get a table.

And P.S. no that’s not our car parked outside.

If you want to surprise or impress this is the place to take someone special.

Full biography

I am a hard working jewellery designer with a small business I promote through local fairs and trade shows. I love combining vermeil with precious stones to offer my customers something better and more unique than the more aspirational jewellery brands like Monica Vinader. I am lucky to have had some good press in Stylist magazine and a tiny mention in Vogue a few years back. I get to work from our beautiful Georgian townhouse which we struggled to buy 25 years ago and together with my husband (my parents call him that, we are not actually married) Ron, who works in film finance we have renovated and turned into the perfect haven for us. One day at Chelsea town hall maybe. A rockstar wedding maybe is on the cards, followed by the pub, always the Ship on Wandsworth bridge for us and then Bali I think. My dream vacation destination, somewhere I’ve never been and longed for flicking through my monthly Conde Nast Traveller subscription.
